Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with
acadeME Hub is operated by acadeME Hub ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using acadeME Hub you enter into a binding agreement with acadeME Hub. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
2. Acceptance and authority
By continuing to use acadeME Hub you confirm you accept these terms. You represent that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and, where you are signing up on behalf of a household, school, or co-op, that you have authority to bind that organisation.
3. The service
acadeME Hub provides homeschool planning, attendance, progress tracking, compliance templates, and (on Pro plans) AI-assisted summaries and additional tools. Features available to you depend on your plan.
4. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly at academehub1@gmail.com of any unauthorised access.
5. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or to send spam;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- upload malware, probe or scan the service, or otherwise interfere with security;
- scrape, mirror, or attempt to extract data from the service in bulk;
- reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or circumvent technical limits of the service.
6. AI features
When you enable AI features (such as weekly summaries), you control which categories of your content are sent to the model provider via your AI privacy settings. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing them before relying on them. acadeME Hub is not a substitute for professional educational, legal, medical, or compliance advice. You must not use the AI features to generate unlawful content, deepfakes, hateful or harassing material, malware, or content that infringes third-party rights, and you must not attempt to bypass safety controls.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create or upload to acadeME Hub(children's records, lesson plans, notes, etc.). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, and process that content solely to provide and improve the service for you. We may remove content that violates these terms.
8. Our intellectual property
The acadeME Hub service, including software, design, templates, and branding, is owned by acadeME Hub or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with your plan and these terms.
9. Subscriptions, billing, and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Stripe. Stripe is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Stripe provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Stripe's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable-use rules. You may close your account at any time. On termination, we will delete or anonymise your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention requirements.
11. Service availability and warranties
We work to keep acadeME Hub available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet every requirement. Except as required by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid for acadeME Hubin the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence).
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold acadeME Hub harmless from claims arising out of content you submit, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
14. Changes to the service or terms
We may update the service and these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of State of Delaware, United States, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
16. Assignment and force majeure
You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond their reasonable control.
